Volley is a fast desktop app for building, sending and testing HTTP requests. No account, no cloud, no clutter.
Available for macOS (.pkg) and Windows (.exe)
Volley covers the everyday parts of API work: sending requests, organizing them, and checking that the responses are right.
Every HTTP method, params, headers, auth and JSON, raw or form bodies. Responses show status, time, size and pretty-printed JSON.
Group requests in a searchable sidebar and open them in tabs. Your workspace is saved automatically.
Use {{variables}} at global, collection, environment and chained scope. Switch between dev and prod from the toolbar.
Check the status, response time, JSON values, headers and body. Save a value from one response for the next request.
Run a whole collection or folder in one go and see a clear pass/fail report.
Import cURL and Postman v2.1 collections, export back to Postman, and copy any request as code.
Cookies are kept between requests like a browser. You can view or clear them from the toolbar.
Every request you send is logged. Double-click one to open it again.
Light, dark or follow-system themes. Everything stays on your machine in ~/.volley.
Free installers for macOS and Windows. Current version: v1.0.0.
The app isn't signed by Apple yet, so macOS asks for confirmation the first time you open it.
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning.
